Reporting and Takedown Process

Last updated: September 20, 2026

This document describes how Celebrity Status receives reports of content that violates our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, how those reports are reviewed, and the actions we take to remove content and enforce our policies. It applies to all content on the Platform β€” posts, images, video, audio, live broadcasts, karaoke performances, watch parties, chat, messages, dating profiles and paid content.

1. How to Report Content

Anyone may report content through any of the following channels:

  • In-app report control. The report button appears on feed posts, creator profiles and live rooms. This is the fastest route and captures the content automatically.
  • Contact form. Our Contact page is open to everyone, including people without an account, and is the route for rights holders, legal representatives and other aggrieved parties.
  • In-app support chat. Available to signed-in users from anywhere in the app.

2. What a Report Captures

Each report records the reporter's identity, the type and identifier of the content, the account that owns it, a human-readable label, a reason category, and any free-text detail the reporter supplies. Reason categories are:

  • Harassment or bullying
  • Spam or scams
  • Nudity or sexual content
  • Violence or harm
  • Illegal activity
  • Hate speech
  • Other

Reports in the categories of nudity or sexual content, violence or harm, and illegal activity are automatically assigned high priority on submission.

3. Review Process

Every report enters a staff-only moderation queue that is not accessible to end users. Reports move through four states:

  • Open β€” submitted and awaiting a reviewer.
  • Reviewing β€” claimed by a named staff member who is actively assessing it.
  • Resolved β€” a violation was confirmed and action taken.
  • Dismissed β€” no violation was found.

Every state change records the handling staff member and a written resolution note, producing a per-report audit trail. Reports are reviewed against the reported account's prior report and enforcement history before a decision is made.

4. Takedown and Enforcement Actions

Where a violation is confirmed, we may take any of the following actions:

  • Remove or restrict the reported content.
  • Clear the chat history of an affected room.
  • End an active live broadcast.
  • Disable monetization on the content or the account, and withhold earnings associated with the violating content.
  • Issue a warning or strike against the account.
  • Suspend or permanently terminate the account.
  • Report illegal activity to law enforcement where required.

Content in the prohibited categories listed in Section 9 of our Terms of Service β€” adult content and services, intellectual property or proprietary rights infringement, copyright-infringing content, and violent extremism β€” is never eligible for monetization and will be removed where identified.

5. Copyright and Rights Holder Notices

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on the Platform without authorization, submit a notice through the Contact page including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The exact location of the allegedly infringing material on the Platform.
  • Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, notify the affected account holder, and provide an opportunity to submit a counter-notice. Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright will be terminated.

6. Repeat Violators and Escalation

We track violations against accounts and apply escalating enforcement rather than treating each report in isolation:

  • First confirmed violation β€” content removed and a documented warning or strike recorded against the account.
  • Second confirmed violation β€” monetization privileges disabled and payouts held pending review.
  • Third confirmed violation β€” permanent account termination.

Serious violations may result in immediate termination without prior warnings. These include content sexualizing minors, credible threats of violence, coordinated copyright infringement, and the attempted monetization of prohibited content through paid features, private messages or third-party links.

7. Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may appeal through the Contact page, quoting the content or account in question. Appeals are reviewed by a member of the moderation team who was not involved in the original decision. If an appeal succeeds, the content is restored and any enforcement action or monetization restriction is reversed.

8. Response Targets

We aim to meet the following targets for every report we receive:

  • High-priority reports (nudity, violence, illegal activity): reviewed within 24 hours.
  • All other reports: reviewed within 72 hours.
  • Reports involving an active live broadcast: reviewed while the broadcast is live wherever possible.
  • Appeals: reviewed within 5 business days.

9. Record Keeping

Reports, review decisions, resolution notes and enforcement actions are retained as an audit trail. This record supports our repeat-violator enforcement and allows us to demonstrate, on request, how a specific report was handled.

10. Contact

For anything relating to this process β€” including rights holder notices and escalations β€” use the Contact page or the in-app support chat.
